Dad and I have been anxiously checking out the blog site all morning for Zee's pics. We are even more anxious to hear what he has to say at the end of his "first day" :-)
Looking good Zee! Wow, 2 in school, no wonder the house seems quiet.
Well, technically it wasn't really a first day. More of a first hour. He went in at noon for about 50 min--just a brief orientation plus a parents' meeting.
Todd took off work to go with him, and said he was very disappointed that the teacher didn't even greet Zee. Not even a hi. What's up with that?? He also said she didn't seem very excited in general, and specifically about all-day K.
Of course, I'm trying to grant her a healthy dose of grace since I don't know what she might be struggling with in her personal life right now. Plus, she might just be having a difficult day.
Hopefully that's all it is, because we all know that I'm the substandard teacher's worst nightmare...LOL...could be a long year for us all (especially her). ;)
Zee was petrified...not of the teacher, just the new surroundings. Luckily, he didn't seem to pick up on his teacher's lack of enthusiasm...he told me he liked his first day and that his teacher was wearing a pink shirt. :)
well any teacher that wears a pink shirt I am sure will turn out to be great! I will have to call and hear about the first days. I was praying yesterday when I remembered. I am glad that it went well. He looks like such a big boy in the pictures!
